Benztown Bringing Back The Brick

Benztown is bringing the voice of sportscaster Vic “The Brick” Jacobs to radio stations across the U.S. in a 30-second daily feature This Day in Sports History. The segment will be available to stations through Benztown’s Adrenaline Sports Imaging Library.

Vic “The Brick” has been a sports broadcaster since 1979 in markets including Austin, TX, Fresno, CA, Phoenix, AZ, and Los Angeles. He was sports anchor for Rick Dees In the Morning Show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. In1997, he helped launch the new Sports-Talk format at L.A.’s KXTA 1150 AM, now KEIB, as midday host.

Dave “Chachi” Denes, Benztown President, said, “Vic was one of the very first people to welcome me to L.A. when I moved here 18 years ago. His warmth and authenticity instantly endeared me to him. He is the same person on-air as he his in real life and that’s why I think he’s a star. We’re excited to have him as the voice of This Day in Sports History which comes free of charge on a daily basis to all of our Adrenaline library affiliates.”
