The entire Federal Communications Commission went before the Senate Commerce Committee Thursday where they were hit hard about a claim back in May that a cyberattack was to blame for shutting down the Commission's online commenting system. In the end it was discovered that the system simply crashed, as it had in 2014, over the heated debate about net neutrality. [read more]

After a barrage of news reports Thursday that a pirate radio station in Austin that was airing Alex Jones content, Jones issued a statement on his Infowars website. He said he does not operate any radio or TV station anywhere in the country and claims that he's running an illegal station in Austin are a complete and total hoax. [read more]

From the official SEC filing, SBS reported total net revenue in Q2 of $34.8 million, slightly higher than the $34.2 million from Q2 2017. For the first six months of 2018 SBS's net revenue came in at $68.7 million, an increase of 2% over the first six months of 2017. So what about the radio division? [read more]
 
Geoff Moyer is now the General Sales Manager for Alpha Media Portland’s talk stations: FM News 101.1 (KXL), 102.9/750 The Game (KXTG), Freedom 970 (KUFO), and the 22-station Radio Northwest Network. Sam Nein spent the last seven years as the Tampa Area President for iHeartMedia prior to his exit in January.
