Beasley Media Group is the first company we’ve seen putting people specifically in charge of podcasting. The company plans to unveil a company-wide podcasting strategy later in the year. And on Monday, four of Beasley’s current employees were given the added title of Podcast Captain.
The captains will be responsible for assisting the local markets in evaluating and partnering with local content providers, along with helping the company’s overall mission of building a larger podcast community.
The new Podcast Captains are:
– Mike Thomas, Program Director, WBZ-FM/98.5 The Sports Hub/Boston
– Chuck Damico, Program Director, BEN-FM Philadelphia, and Assistant Program Director, WMMR-FM/Philadelphia
– Steve Black, air personality, WRIF-FM/Detroit
– Roy Brown, morning personality, KISS 95.1/Charlotte
