Westwood One has named correspondent Michael Toscano the new host of its “First Light” morning program. Toscano has been a regular guest host of the show, in addition to anchoring Westwood One newscasts and special programming. He’s a former host of the Wall Street Journal Radio afternoon news program “The Daily Wrap.”
Toscano will begin his tenure at “First Light” on Monday, August 27, replacing Evan Haning, who has decided to step back but will continue as a part-time Westwood One News anchor and “First Light” fill-in host.
Westwood One News also announced that Mike Moss is taking on the role of full-time news anchor. Moss has been part of Westwood One News’ operation since joining as a part-time anchor and fill-in guest host earlier this year.
