Excluding political revenue, Beasley’s same station revenue was down 3%. When the company includes revenue from the purchase of WBZ-FM in Boston, the sale of WMJX-FM in Boston and a partial quarter contribution from the purchase from WXTU-FM Philadelphia, there was a 10.6% overall increase in net revenue for the quarter ($6.2 million).

Net revenue in the 2018 third quarter increased year-over-year in the Company’s Tampa, Philadelphia, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, August, Boca Raton and Boston clusters compared to the same period in 2017.

Beasley was another company that took a hit from the failure of The United States Traffic Network, having to write down nearly $2 million for revenue it expected from selling traffic inventory. Beasley is now working with Katz (Total Traffic) and selling inventory in-house.

Looking ahead to Q4, Beasley is pacing up double digits and expects a total of $3 million in political advertising for the year.
