Political Pushes Townsquare Revenue Higher

Including all divisions (radio, digital, and events) Townsquare’s pro-forma revenue was up less than 1%. When live events revenue is backed out, which then leaves radio and digital, net revenue was up 7.3% in the quarter.

Political revenue for Townsquare is outpacing 2014, the last non-presidential mid-term election year. Year-to-date, Townsquare has written $4.3 million in political business, driven by record-shattering spending in a Montana Senate race, and races in New York, Texas, and Maine. The company expects another $5.5 million in political revenue in Q4 for a total of nearly $10 million for the year, which is nearly $2 million more than 2014.
