Inner Banks Media announced a format swap in the Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, NC, metro market. The company will swap the dial positions for their longtime Country format, Thunder Country, which has been at the 96.3 dial position since 2007, and their conservative Talk format, which has been at 94.1 since 2009.
The move is part of Inner Banks’ relaunch of their Talk format which was initiated by the acquisition of a new long-term agreement with Premiere Radio to become the new home of Rush Limbaugh in that part of the coastal nine-county NC metro. IBX already carries Limbaugh in the northern part of the metro on 103.7 WTIB.
“We are ecstatic to have Rush joining our lineup in the southern part of the market,” said Inner Banks CEO Henry Hinton. “Because of our new agreement with Rush we have decided to move the talk format to 96.3, which has a huge coverage area on the coast and will put our Talk programming over our entire third of the state.”
Inner Banks Media also broadcasts a Talk format on another 100,000-watt signal 103.7 WTIB, which originates its programming from the company’s headquarters in Greenville, NC. “This gives our Talk formats and Rush a signal that blankets eastern North Carolina from the Virginia line almost to Wilmington,” Hinton said.
The new format on 96.3 WRHT will also feature a huge lineup of local talk including:
6am-7am – ENC Morning News with Raeford Brown
7am-8am – Talk of the Town with Henry Hinton
8am-10am – Live and Local with Raeford Brown, Elliott Potter, and Dee Dee Daube
5pm-6pm – ENC News and Views with Tom Lamprecht and Sadie Klaus.
The station will fill in with nationally syndicated programming including Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, and Mark Levin.
