Logitek Turns 40

Back in 1979, in Houston, Tag Borland (pictured) and Scott Hochberg founded audio console manufacturer Logitek. Hochberg left the company after a few years but Borland remained at the helm and continues as the company’s principal equipment designer as well as President.

“Console options such as input and output source assignment, as well as full consoles presented on computer screens and touchscreens, are expected by customers now,” said Borland. “When we first introduced them, though, the general reaction was ‘why would you want to do that?’ A few years of patient explanation paid off, and now most consoles in the industry incorporate some or all of these features.”

Congrats on the milestone!
