Sparks Enters Texas Hall

1

Scott Sparks from Cox Media Group in Houston has been inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. Sparks hosts afternoons on KGLK-FM in Houston. Sparks has been in radio for over three decades, 20 years on KRBE-FM before joining KGLK-FM where he’s been for the last 12 years.

Sparks will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Saturday, November 2nd at the Texas Broadcast Museum in Kilgore, Texas.

“My radio career started in 1979, when I was tired of mowing yards in the East Texas summer heat and ready for a change. And here I am today, still behind the mic entertaining Houstonians on their drive home. This year’s list of inductees is impressive, and I am honored to be in such great company,” states Sparks.

  1. Congratulations, Scott.

I left Houston in the early 2000s. But, before I moved away, I certainly enjoyed many years of listening to you on 104 KRBE.

This is a recognition very well deserved. Way to go!
