Cox-Tulsa Helps Raise $3.4M… And Counting

0

Last week we reported that Cox-Tulsa had raised over $1 million for St. Jude with their recent St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Well, the cluster out in Oklahoma has tallied up their community investment figures for the first half of 2019, and it’s a record-breaker!

The integrated cluster (including radio stations Mix96.5, K95.5, NEWS102.3 & AM740 KRMG, 103.3 The Eagle, and 105.7 The Bone) helped its community partners raise more than $3.4 million through Green Country-based fundraising events. CMG partners include St. Jude, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, March of Dimes, and the Community Food Bank of Oklahoma, among others.

“Investing in the community is what sets us apart,” says Cathy Gunther, CMG-Tulsa Market Vice President. “We jump at every chance we get to serve our neighbors in their time of need – whether it be a pop-up fundraising event to benefit flood victims or to feed hungry kids during the summer break.”

The $3.4 million amount does not reflect in-kind donations collected for the cluster’s community partners.

The cluster has committed to an additional 16 significant community partnerships through the end of the year. In 2018, CMG-Tulsa raised more than $6.3 million for local charities. Looks like another record might fall.

Great job, folks!
