More bad news for WLAC Nashville host Steve Gill. Gill has been in jail for the past nine days after being taken into custody for not paying $170,000 in child support to his ex-wife. Now, his current wife has filed for divorce because she’s terrified of what he will do to her.
Gill’s current wife testified against Gill in the child support hearing. The Tennessean reports that court documents showed that his wife says, in court documents, “I need protection. I am terrified. He is ‘influenced’ and ‘powerful’ and he used that to try to keep my from escaping. The history of his abuse, intimidation, verbal threats of what he’ll do those I love,” she wrote. “That he will take everything I have and use his power and influence to destroy me. Steve has pushed me, grabbed me. He liked to block me in the shower when I am nude, screaming at me, intimidating me, calling me disgusting names.”
The paper reports that his wife wrote that Gill threatened World War III if she tried to divorce or leave. She has filed for divorce.
