As if pirate radio stations weren’t enough of a headache for broadcasters, now they have to worry about amateur radio operators. The Commission wants Lyle Hilden, the licensee of amateur radio station KD6LUL in Vista, California, to provide more information about his operation. The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau received a complaint of a pirate radio station operating at 93.7 in Vista and traced the signal back to Hilden’s home. Hilden has 20 days to explain.
