Emmis New York‘s Senior Vice President/Market Manager Charlie Morgan has joined the New York Market Radio Association’s Executive Committee as Treasurer, replacing Univision’s Ramon Pineda. Morgan is a 38-year broadcast veteran, spending the first 28 years with Susquehanna Radio before a two-year stint in television and network radio with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the IndyCar Series. In 2009, Morgan returned to radio and joined the Emmis team managing the Indianapolis cluster for seven years and now the New York cluster, which includes WBLS, WLIB and WQHT.

“I am very excited about working with Charlie in this seamless transition of the Executive Committee,” NYMRAD Chairman Marc Rayfield said. “Charlie has brought energy in his contributions to board meetings and under his leadership we will continue to develop initiatives that will advance radio in the vibrant New York marketplace.”

CBS Radio NY’s Marc Rayfield remains as Chairman and iHeartMedia NY’s Scott Hopeck moves up to Secretary from Treasurer.
