BizTalkRadio financial host Ray Lucia is taking his battle with the SEC to the United States Supreme Court, according to The San Diego Reader.
In 2013, the SEC charged Lucia with not properly back-testing his “Buckets of Money” strategy, saying he used faulty estimates. He was banned from the securities industry. Lucia lost his appeal, then changed his approach and is now arguing that the appointment of the administrative law judge who kicked him out of the securities industry — and the appointment of other agency judges — is unconstitutional. The Supreme Court will decide whether to take the case in October.
