Thief River Radio GM Jake Weber, Cassie Manzanares and DJ Tischner had been reporting from the Route 91 Harvest Festival and interviewing bands in the media tent when the shooting began. Weber had just left the concert to pick up more equipment from his room on the 10th floor of the Mandalay. He tells ABC TV in Minnesota that he wouldn’t be able to reunite with his employees for hours as they tried to escape the shooting by jumping into a passing Uber. Watch the ABC report HERE
