The original three hosts of The Morning X on 99X (WNNX-FM) – Steve Barnes, Leslie Fram and Jimmy Baron – will return to the Atlanta airwaves for the first time in more than a decade, as part of 99X’s 25th anniversary celebration. The popular trio will host a special four-hour morning show on 99X on October 26, 6-10 a.m. The X team ruled Atlanta’s morning airwaves from 1993 to 2003, when the station moved to an online format. 99X debuted in Atlanta on October 26, 1992, as an Alternative Rock station, and has since been programmed as a Hard Rock station and a Country station, returning to its original Alternative Rock format and re-branding as 99X on January 1, 2016.
