On November 16, B98.5 listeners donated an incredible 4,800 pounds of food to supply Thanksgiving meals for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This included an amazing 2,792 pounds of turkey, 1,522 pounds of canned goods, and 486 pounds of produce. Tad, Drex and Kara, of Tad & Drex Mornings, broke out of the morning routine, pulling a second on-air shift to broadcast live from Publix in Alpharetta Commons from 2-7 p.m.
Chris Eagan, Director of Branding and Programming, said, “Our listeners are great! When we ask them to give, they always come through and help worthy causes like the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Giving back to the communities we serve is exactly what local radio does best.”
The Atlanta Metro area community faces one of the highest levels of food insecurity in the nation.
